Lip Color for your skin
What Lip Color should I wear for my skin type?
“What kind of tones work best with certain skin tones? I can never figure that out. I'm super fair and have red undertones. Do I wear warm colors or cool colors on my lips? I hardly ever wear lipstick or anything very pigmented because I just can't figure it out.”
Do you burn easy or have trouble with pink cheeks or redness? You probably have a cool skin tone. If you have pink/redness in your skin tone try cooler colors like plums, raisins, or fuschias. Avoid colors with orangey or coral tones.
Do you tan easy or have a yellow / golden skin tone? You probably have a warm skin tone. If you have this skin tone try warmer lip colors like red berries, bright pinks, or corals. Avoid purples and blueish tones.
You may find you don't have any undertone in your skin that doesn't look pink or yellow. The sky is the limit. Try a variety of shades and find your favorites.
*Lip color for Aged or Lips with lines: lip gloss gives the appearance of plumper lips and the lighter the lip color the more fuller they appear as well. It doesn't mean you can't wear a lipstick, but make sure to choose bright and shimmery shades- avoid mattes.
